I think a lot of people forget that Walkiv Dead didn’t really start to get good nor a real hit until like season 3. It was good but it wasn’t great. I think this show is pacing itself just fine, but then I don't watch it just to see zombies eat people or get butchered. I don't mind some actual story in my program.

Totally agree. Some shows deserve their disdain—see the reviews for the Strain. Some shows need a little tongue in cheek—see Meredith doing True Blood.
