You wouldn’t need it to tell you exactly where they are. Even if they just said “450 meters”, that’d be useful information. Then as you walked, you could see in real time whether you were getting closer or further away, and could zero in on the Pokemon. As it is right now, the feature is basically useless.

I think Iceland, for one, would count as “western”, and their head of state is already listed. You’re being awfully quick to reach conclusions.
