Right, but you didn’t even get to see the end results of such a fantasy being played out, which is the whole point of the film. Any story should be judged by it’s entirety, not just the set up.

The movie Her was actually very good and managed to steer clear of a lot of the pitfalls you would imagine with that kind of plot device.

I don’t even like Emma Stone all that much, but why oh why is she throwing her lot in with Woody Allen.

It’s not really gender-neutral, though. Since when do boys clothes include spaghetti straps? Or shorts that are actually, you know, short? Or shirts with cut outs?
