Didn't she refer to The Doctor as her "boyfriend" in one of the end-credit scenes earlier this season? Because if I recalled that correctly, that makes it all the better.

Considering all the pre-plotting during the series the robot ruse was pretty clearly an act. Missy was already tricking people to think that they were in Heaven or wherever (and I simply couldn't buy as being an actual place in the Whoniverse). She's a trickster. And I love her already.

The Doctor should take her onto the TARDIS as a prisoner/companion. Just so Gomez has more screentime. Especially if Clara leaves at Christmas.

Aren't they speaking Gallifreyan? We just hear it as English because the TARDIS is tapped into our brains.

His filming schedule probably interfered since he is on Intruders, the other BBCA Saturday series. Gomez is excellent, though, that robot-fakeout Doctor-makeout was 60 seconds of brilliant acting.

If we're lucky, the Cybermen will have been using The Mistress just as much as she has been using them. Both using one another for their own ends which will bring them into conflict. That's always fun.

The best thing the revived series has done with the Cybermen is when they played on humankind's early adoption of technology and weird distrust of emotion as reasoning for "upgrading." Right now they really seem only like a plot device to make the "dead" not dead.

Yep. What other purpose is there for water that hides non-organic matter when you know what comes next?

The previews essentially spoiled the ending. They showed the cybermen, so as soon as they revealed that the water only shows organic matter, I thought "What are they hid-OH RIGHT cybermen."

Limitless as a TV show has a lot of potential… if it were on basically any network but CBS. Middling mediocrity is their forte. They're so good at it, most of their dramas aren't worth watching at all.

Comedy Central is really stepping its game up in that field. This year alone we got Broad City, Review, and the return of Nathan For You.

They learned well from their parents. They're all pretty self-absorbed (Ali at least cares about Ed, but when it comes to Syd she's as self-absorbed as both of her siblings).

I think this is a very important point. Tambor was the main reason I decided to watch the show, and I'm guessing it's the main reason many others will choose to watch it.

I may not be able to identify specifically with any ONE Pfefferman, but the family as a unit defines my family as a unit. More than two Pfeffermans in a room together starts out like a reunion, and ends with someone storming off.

"Symbolic Exemplar" is the episode where I finally connected to the family. At first, I was trying to connect to the characters individually, which wasn't working. But episode 7, the family finally comes together in its dysfunction, which was previewed with the siblings getting drunk before outing Maura to Josh in

It took me until the second scene with Sarah before I realized it was a teenager playing the character, not Amy Landecker as herself.

The specials themselves were good , BUT I didn't care for the ending of either. It was another "look how clever I am/everything is fixed and happy now," which is my least-favorite Doctor (one that channels Sherlock's sociopathy). I like "The Waters of Mars" Doctor, and "Listen" Doctor, where not everything always

I'm starting to like Michael Che on Weekend Update. Sure, the "race" stuff is pretty safe and family-friendly, but he's at least developing a character as an anchor, rather than staring coldly into the camera, wondering to himself as Che and Bayer went through the romantic comedy bit what this strange concept of

Basically any time Moffat tries to explain anything beyond a self-contained one or two-episode story, it makes it worse.

There's a lot of territory to gain out of rediscovering the Timelords. And while I would love to see that, I might miss the "last of his kind" hollowness that reappears whenever he loses a companion. And Clara can't be with him much longer; I'm guessing either she's going to go out with the finale or early in Series 9.
