I certainly won't begrudge anyone their opinion that they'd rather game on a console than a PC, but some of the reasons in his article tell me that he might be missing out, if he truly used to be a PC gamer, and he truly has considered the pros and cons of consoles vs. PC.

Recommended specs would allow for bells and whistles, such as AA, higher resolution, and much smoother framerates than you'd get on the 360. Minimum required specs would most likely look very close to the 360 version of Skyrim. I'm still using a 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Quad overclocked to 3.0GHz, and it crushes Skyrim

I hear the new guy has big plans, though.

Dig that bowtie. Just kidding... I don't dig that fucking bowtie at all.

Loved it! I especially liked how the Engie built his turrets by just banging on them with his wrench.

In a galaxy not so far away...

This. Encouraging a victim of any kind to learn how to protect themselves is definitely NOT victim blaming. If that was the case, then encouraging someone to take self-defense or martial arts lessons would also be victim blaming, and that's just ludicrous. It's a sad fact of life that there are plenty of dickheads out

I don't quite understand it either. I quite liked the gameplay, and I absolutely loved the story. It's not the best shooter in the world, but I liked the sandbox-ey levels and the variety of ways you could tackle them. I think we're witnessing an echo chamber where a handful of people are confusing nitpicking with

I thought it was fun. Holy crap, not enough ammo or eve though! I get that the devs want you to use the environment to your advantage, but it was pretty frustrating to cycle through all your weapons just to see if you maybe have one shotgun shell or 4 carbine rounds in the clip. I'll have to do another playthrough and

No, I liked it too. It seems an honest and thoughtful discussion of Infinite's shooter mechanics got tossed out the window when everyone felt like bashing the game just because it was a shooter. "Blah blah Infinite would've been SO MUCH BETTER if it was a puzzle platformer or an RPG or an RTS or a free-to-play MMO

I already mentioned it in another thread, but Kirk's writing is so damned sloppy in this article, I feel the need to mention it again:

Witnessed up close in real time, this Rapture feels like a caricature. It's been hastily drawn, and the grandiose antagonists who gave the first two games such substance and character are in short supply. At one point I explored a bookstore that contained only three categories of books: "Self-Optimization,"

Agreed. It's a shoddy review. It tells me more about Kirk Hamilton than it does about Bioshock Infinite's DLC. Here's a much better review of the game.

Oh boy, do I ever. What's weird is that in a group of friends, or just out at a bar and talking to various people, I'm completely fine. I'm usually the one making people laugh and/or having a quick retort. So anything off the cuff, in the moment, I'm fine with. But put me on stage or in front of people with a specific

I'd love to try the beefy console, but what I really want is the controller.

Yup. Me too, except I think I headed inland. Thanks for sharing the song! I'd wondered where that came from, but hadn't looked it up.

Jimmy Whisper is so cool.

Absolutely. Good call, and I hope I see one of these soon. Portal 2 with it would be nuts!

Yup. I do it too. Actually, I picked up the habit even before getting a 360 gamepad for my PC. Not sure why I play like that, but I always have, and I cannot get used to non-inverted.

I swear I've had dreams about being able to do this.
