Re: (1) I’ve seen intentional walk pitches thrown way off target resulting in advancement of bases by runners. You still have to make the pitches. Just sending a runner to first without pitching is some powderpuff softball shit.

I would nominate Koufax’s perfect game for that trophy, but my reverence for Koufax complicates my logic. He is the Platonic ideal of a pitcher. But Wood was unhittable in this game. It wasn’t even fair.
