Anyone who thinks they should just keep pumping out new games at that rate for $20 a year needs to step back and look at what they are already getting. It’s already a great deal. The fact they still plan to release more without charging extra is surprising. The fact that they added 20 SNES games is even more amazing. 

Bcause the rights holders are spread far and wide, source code and design documents may not be available anymore, and it may not be financially viable to do the work required for the port.

It’s because Nintendo decided to add the rewind future and other QoL things not in the original games that’s why it’s taking longer. They probably won’t release these classics as is. Hopefully in the Switch successor, since they've already added those stuff, they'll release games quicker.

Hey, we’re getting Star Fox and Stunt Race FX out of the gate, so Star Fox 2 coming out later is not out of the question.  I mean Stunt Race FX never even got a Virtual Console release!

Finally, the healing process for losing the Virtual Console can begin. Can’t wait to load up Link to the Past.
