I was kinda hoping if anything they would stay away from the anime stories altogether and did their own thing. Doing shot for shot remakes in live action only invites comparison and when you’re dealing with an anime that’s in most people’s top 5 list it’s just asking for trouble.

I suspect part of the reason for the added cost is that NES and SNES are probably still getting support, even if trickling. It’s been said that adding online features to these games takes time and effort and if the extra cost offsets that to allow multiple teams to work on different platforms then that’s A-OK for me.

I mean, I’ve had my Xbox One since launch and TBH some parts of it are getting iffy. It’s the only device in my house that regularly loses access to fiber internet and I feel like it may be on its last legs, so I would love to get a series X 

but even then, as the article states, Japan is essentially closed for tourism, so money can’t be a huge driver either.
