But you also have to factor in server costs, labor because someone has to make these things, and maintain them, those things plus whatever other costs Rockstar has add up. Sure GTA and Red Dead are really successful but like someone mentioned before, we don’t really know what the costs of the company are to develop…

of course it’s greed, they’re a company moving a product, not a non-profit there for people’s entertainment. 

Are we forgetting games are all about capitalism? Of course they’re being greedy, they’re a company making a profit. If someone has issues with a company trying to make a profit on a successful product and keeping that train rolling then maybe there are other issues they should be discussing. A company doesn’t do…

a lot of that is streamers paying with real money because the content makes them money (see: Achievement hunter). That said, it’s still a free to play game that gets content added almost on a monthly basis, and free expansions. That’s not just keeping the servers alive, that’s dev teams iterating and creating entirely…

I mean, damned if they do damned if they don’t. It’s the height of entitlement as a gamer to bitch about a game that gives out free updates regularly after YEARS. If they didn’t do that we’d be upset that it was falling into disrepair.

It’s a game with free updates that come in regularly. They have to make money somehow since nobody is buying new copies of GTA5 at this point. 

Except the difference between RDO and GTAO is that GTAO Shark Cards are equivalent to in-game money. There is no division of currency in GTAO like the gold bars vs dollar money in RDO that would allow Rockstar to sidestep online gambling laws and claims in GTAO.

This feels like the complaint Wind Waker got all over again. Pokemon has an aesthetic, they’re sticking to it.

me and my best guy friends have a FB chat channel we use to share gaming news and also to regularly schedule games together. We usually play Apex or Pubg with other games occasionally thrown in but it does wonders for keeping in touch.
