"That guy has been staring at me for three hours and won't help me up."

First of all, don't water your plants with tap water . You're plants don't appreciate getting dosed with toxic chemicals, medication, and salts. Not on city water? You're still watering with hard water contaminated with heavy metals.

So they won't like my Steampunk Killer Mermaid Time Travellers who kills Snow White and the Seven Zombies to avenge their dad's death and then they find out it was Earth All A Long because they hated every Ape they saw from Chimpan-A to Chimpan-Zee Story?

I can't speak for everyone else, but I don't mind when someone ask. Sometimes your character is much too obscure, or your interpretation could be a little out there.

The bell and the canon - damn!

Might have something to do with being yanked out of its natural habitat and shoved in a tank. Call me crazy.
Impressive it lasted for five years. I wonder if they tried live food.

Gosh, don't tell people. This is the only way I can make friends.

This is me speaking as both a huge Firefly fan and a huge Whedonite. I never ever ever ever want to see another post about the possibility of this show returning. Ever.

No, the annoying thing about the references is that they are 90% higgs boson or large hadron collider related.

I watched the pilot episode of The Big Bang Theory, and immediately gave up on it when they made a joke about the trouble they went through to get their "partial T-1 line." Obviously, that joke was not written by a geek ("oh, that sounds techie, let's use it!"), or anyone who knows anything about broadband, since in

A show filled with geeky characters (and creators) that rewarded its viewers' intelligence.

"Betas" on Amazon Prime is the best geek show in my opinion. Especially living in the Silicon Valley, and having lived that type of life, it gets it right IMHO.

the moment the geek in me squeed was when James franco's character played D&D and enjoyed it.

Yes, you can argue the IT/geek factor is really more of the framework, and the creative, well-written absurdities are really the meat of the LOLs.

i would vote CLERKS. its probably the most real version of geeks and nerds there is. we arent really nice people. we are usually bitter and too smart for our own good. we also spend alot of time talking about star wars and strange situations that could happen to your penis.

Office Space.

I like to think that Community, which doesn't always joke about the most obvious geek stuff, does get many things right about geek compulsions.

I suppose the ending wasn't quite as bleak as the rest of the film, but it's still pretty damn bleak.

Sadly people don't always think to check for chips. I can say the flash drive is cool, except it's technology reliant. If someone like my grandma or, heck, my parents found the dog w/flash drive, they wouldn't know what to do with it.
