But second moment of inertia should be approximately the same for transverse I4 FWD as it is for longitudinal I4 RWD since the engine doesn't have to be ahead of the front wheels for RWD. At any rate, low power + FWD is okay with me.

Haha basically but I think they only got 60-62% of the weight forward. Those straight fives were real long though.

I guess... You can't really use your last line though. We don't know the skill level of those Porsche drivers. All I hear is the Porsche driver can't drive and you're really good.

I love automatics, AC, but I like bluetooth connectivity more. The music on my phone is better than the music on the radio.

nawwwww

Chupame el pito guey.

In the engineering world they call it a compromise. YAY!

I know it was single clutch. Just making a point of automated manuals.

This means nothing to me. What are you trying to prove? Because racecar?

It's simple... all cars* should be RWD or AWD. Either that or you place the center of gravity ahead of the front wheels.

The PDK is the exception. Not all DCTs are the same. A lot are very similar. It takes a lot of control to make an automated manual transmission good. Just look at the Ferrari 360 or any BMW with SMG II or III. Besides, it's not an opinion. It's based on objective data. Most DCTs produce a lot of shocks and

lol

What I am saying is it wouldn't be as fast as an AT. The AT just engages different clutches but the DCT would need to disengage the engaged clutch, move the dog ring to select the next gear, and reengage the clutch. The benefit of the DCT comes from going from 1-2 or 2-3 or 3-4 or 4-3 etc because opposing gears are on

Eh. Not the best gearbox design. For an automated gearbox, the limiting factor in DCT is now skip-shift. You could never quickly go from 1-3-5-7 in a DCT but in a good torque converter AT you can do that and you can also go 1-3-5-7-3-5-7 very quickly. Not only that, but the aggressive lockup schedules many automakers

That's everyone's strategy nowadays...

I have. That's the benchmark. The PDK is really good. When you buy a 911, that's what you should expect anyway. You don't pay 85k for shitty driveability.

What car? What else have you driven?

Yeah, I've driven your M3 extensively. It's not great in traffic, low speed situations or when you apply light accel pedal. It's a lot better than most though. Not a lot of chatter or oscillation and it's awesome in manual mode.

The worst car has to be the Fiesta with the 6 speed DCT. Just awful at low speeds and with light pedal application. It's like being bad at driving stick.

Exactly. Why develop something new just because?
