The only backstory we got was when we learned in season 1 that he had a girlfriend before he "died," and the classified nature of his resurrection meant he could never tell her he was alive.

The writers have suggested they want to bring MacLachlan back, but probably not this season and not as part of Ghost Rider's backstory: http://comicsalliance.com/a…

WB would stamp Bad Guy on everybody's forehead

Yeah, I liked the knife-twist that by the time he learned the attack was a hit, Robbie had already killed anybody who could have given him the details

I'm glad that, once in a while, this show gets credit for being the oddly prescient and progressive show that it was.

I'd be down for an album of elaborate remixes, a la the Beatles' Love album

Glad to see comments mentioning his roles in Voyager, SHIELD, Myst 3, and Psych…

Imagine a whole city full of speedsters, all operating way faster than the rest of the world

"tho it would be great to have Brandon Routh, Tyler Hoechlin, and Tom Welling in the same scene together"

I liked Action League Now a lot. I remember once Burger King gave out Nickelodeon toys, and the best toy was actually a four-pack of all four ALN characters. Not fully articulated but impressively detailed, all things considered

I don't think that quite works, because what we know of Thawne's timeline is that he only impersonates Wells after being stranded in the past, after killing Nora. So the Thawne from the night of Nora's murder is definitely pre-Wells.

Paul Rudd (Clueless)

They don't look THAT similar in still photos, but in action, the eyes, the hair, and the mannerisms do make it almost impossible not to feel a connection

the river also has no water in it

To rationalize some of the other differences between the new series and the old series, people (including fans and screenwriter Simon Pegg) have basically concluded that the new timeline was already a slightly-different parallel universe even before the ships from the future came back and caused the more drastic

Based on the wording of his clarification, I think a big part of why he commented again was to counter the number of people who responded to his initial complaint with "it's a new timeline, duh"

Honestly, yeah. I don't think anybody had any ill intentions in casting it the way they did, as on a surface level it's just playing to Jones's comedic strengths, but I agree it could have worked the other way around, and I think I also agree with The Ghost of Easy E that the assumption that Leslie Jones works better

Hm, fair

I was thinking about Ernie Hudson's character from the first Ghostbusters again yesterday, and how while I can see the downsides to the approach, it's nonetheless interesting for the "relatable, everyman" sort of character to be black.
