Yeah, that Parkman stuff was really ineffective. He did a good enough job making his voice ambiguous over the intercoms, but if they wanted a decent surprise reveal it should have happened when he first entered the room with… cop dude. Beyond that point it was just dumb.

It was a fun scene, enough so that I give it a pass, but the thought kept nagging in my head that if all Zoom is waiting for is Flash's emblem, they could have just thrown it through the rift without all the theatrics. Maybe still dress Linda up if they're convinced Zoom can see through the rift, but she could have

Yeah, it's definitely not that bad. Just sad because I was hoping one of the "Crossover Episodes" would involve Earth-2 Oliver and now that's ruled out. Certainly wasn't super likely to begin with, I admit.

The throwaway Robert Queen reference seems like a bit of a waste, as it might have been cool to see Earth-2 Ollie as an established and optimistic Green Arrow.

I really do hope that they're setting up a Brotherhood of the Shield plot line. Even if it's just incidental to the portal stuff this season, it could lead to really fascinating stuff in the future

Oh, that's even funnier

It was cool to see the double Clara presented so well. I've liked Clara (at least this season's take on Clara) already, but it still felt a bit like when Fringe introduced the Olivia of Earth-2 and suddenly it became clear that Anna Torv was capable of a lot more than the blandness that had been written for her so

I remember this, the movie was already shot on two side-by-side cameras (one HD digital and one film, because he didn't trust anyone about which would look better) so in theory he can make it 3D using that existing footage

Yeah. Continues to frustrate me. Best-case scenario with the death portal was that she and lion-man would get a ride to lion-planet, and the Doctor knows that a worst-case scenario is much more likely, so why not just give both of them a ride?
I mean, it seems like he wanted her to learn that lesson the hard way, but

Yeah. For me I think the issue was that the sequence goes on so long, we see way too much of the killer, despite his disguise. Lacks some of the ambiguity of the comic's intro.

I forgot how much that sequence didn't work. It was a weird choice to make it a full fight scene at all, really, and doubly weird to set it to a slow song. I think the montage is so good it washed that fight scene out of my memory

The joke has been around for a long time, but I feel like this is the first time someone has thoroughly gone through the details and pointed out how consistent his actions are with a Jedi's.

Will this entire season consist of two-parters? It has so far, even though the last pair felt like distinct episodes, it was still joined with a To Be Continued. I should have suspected that whatever fate was going to befall Clara would happen in this story, since if she were going to survive another pair of episodes

If there were two Osgoods, would there not also have been two Kate Stewarts? I suspect we haven't seen the last of her.

At the very least, "nightmarish Peanuts characters as imagined by the Today show" is now a great, terrifying halloween costume idea that someone else can run with

A Teletubby from Teletubby Hell?

I somehow managed to miss that connection (despite my familiar reaction to the use of the word "Monolith" in previous episodes) until I read the line "through the Monolith back in 2001" in this review. Quite obvious when you spell it out.

I think it's interesting that they made this the immediate follow-up to the last episode, rather than letting it stew for a bit and having this episode come up later in the season. My guess would be that she'll be showing up a few more times in the season, and/or the situation with Clara will change enough that they

I understand why they had to wait this long for Oliver to "earn" the Green Arrow name, but it's still kind of funny that the name didn't come up naturally in the first couple of seasons. Seems like the press would have naturally called him the "Green Arrow Vigilante," and then "Green Arrow" for short, fairly early on,
