Still just as reliable as Tracy’s Jeep projects.

Nobody said anything about a requirement that they not be angry about racism. Racism sucks, POCs have every reason to be pissed bout it. Y’all deal with shit I never have to encounter or deal with on a daily basis. That however wasnt my point. My impression though is that that race seems to be a central framing…
I have one good black friend (for the past 15 or so years). Ex-marine, great guy, love him to death. We’ve been to each others families funerals, and weddings. I tell him shit I dont tell anyone else, and vice versa. But I guess people here will tell me he’s not really my friend because race is some intractable flaw…
White trash is a socio-economic slur, not racial (if thats what you’re chasing).
Couple of random thoughts...
Not for nothing, but looking at all of the posts that seem to be stuck in ‘pending’, I think the author and regular posters here at the Root should stop calling us white people, and just refer to us as ‘grey’ people, since that’s what all of our posts look like. Or maybe just ‘ghosts’ since the most recent post I put…
A grand total of 229 black people out of 74,500,000 were killed by white people in 2015 (guns and other means).
The post and the initial responses seemed to be designed along the lines of ‘lets try to provoke a reaction’. So what the hell, tag, I’m it.
It wasnt Dali, it was Ernest Hemingway, and it was 3, not 2. Motor Racing, Bull Fighting, and Mountaineering. Dali just said a lot of crazy shit like “I don’t do drugs, I am drugs”

Drove one of the Petty Racing cars back in the day in Florida (detuned to 600hp, otherwise a Nascar car), other than the hockey puck clutch and the built int tendency to turn left, they’re surprisingly easy to drive. And loud. Very loud.
My nephew bought a used early A4 1.8T through a dealer (financed), and it taunted him mercilessly through his ownership of it. He had a long series of escalating repair bills that culminated in the turbo eating itself. He was staring a $2500 bill from the stealership in the face. He sold it.
Because we went from Orson Wells punking everyone about aliens coming down back in the 30s, to a long succession of alien stories that have been mostly debunked, and we get to the point where everyone at this point assumes its not an actual ET, and therefore doesnt get emotionally involved in it.
I saw one of these on the road (in NJ) earlier this year, and I started shouting about it in the car, to the confusion of my wife who had a ‘so what’ look. I had to explain about the car and how rare it was, and she still had no fooks to give. I thought it was immensely cool.
I dig the old brass era stuff. My grandfather worked at the turn of the century as a mechanic/chauffeur for millionaire in Long Island. He also worked for a spell as Barney Oldfield’s mechanic for the brief period he was at Winton. I still have his old oak tool chest with his old tools in it. Cool stuff. Also have…
