The street won’t see GM as a shining sun until the whole thing with the *people killing themselves from lack of ability when ignition switches failed
CEO Mary Barra is hardly alone in believing GM’s stock is undervalued as a result.
I don’t think GM resumed the focus on SUV’s & Trucks; consumers in North America did. If you have a product people want to buy, why stop them? If anything, they were slow to update their Large Crossovers (Traverse, etc) because they sold well without updates.
Gotta sell where the market is. SUVs and trucks are selling. And the SUVs that are selling are Equinoxes and Acadias that get 24-28mpg hwy. They're not all Tahoes and H2s that got 11mpg like they were a decade ago. And the small cars are good and competitive - people choose a Cruze over a Civic - that never would have…
My favorite GM’s over the past decade are the Silverado and Yukon. We took a trip to the mountains last year for skiing and rented a new Yukon that got 25 MPG. The Silverado I had as a rental (V6, 4x4) in AR gave us returns of 23MPG. This is mostly highway but my goodness they’ve come a long way. In my opinion the…
I think that GM is a lot more flexible than you may imagine. Rather than making all their $ on H2s at the moment they've got the Lamda platform mates selling to soccer moms. Also, the quality of their small cars is miles better than they were. Look at a 16 cruze vs. a 2005 Cobalt - If gas spikes again and folks flock…
The bailout money was paid back a few years ago (with interest IIRC).
Tell the EPA to talk to the NHTSA. You can have super heavy, super safe caccoon cars, or you can have super lightweight, highly fuel efficient cars, but you can’t have both.
The SUVs and trucks will hit between 50 to 52.6 mph average fuel economy, the government estimates.
......is there video?
Having engaged in both activities, I can tell you the moto has significantly more grip. Both moto riders in this video suck hard and are meandering all over the place. Neither picks the right line once.
Well keep in mind that entry fees for this were $50-$70 and they sold nearly 1000 entries - I’m pretty sure those went to the actual logistics of this and the money they’re bringing in from donations goes directly to the charity.
I’m gonna guess Clarkson in the Aston, May in the Rolls Royce, and Hammond in the Challenger
While I don’t think diversity should be the first criteria for hosting duties, they are in the unique position of having a handful of very talented people, who happen to be diverse. I'm not familiar with all of the current presenters, but I have to imagine reimagining the trio with LeBlanc, Sabine, and Harris would be…
In no way has Overwatch ever made me feel like a winner no matter what.
It was horrible
Agree 100%. Using beta software on a computer or mobile device is fine - it won’t kill you. Using experimental stuff on a 4,000-5,000 speed machine? That’s just reckless as far as I’m concerned.
Bottom line, it doesn’t matter what he was doing in the car, what matters is what he wasn’t doing, which is driving. He got so confident with his use of the system, and encouraged by the popularity, that he probably thought the autopilot would drive for him, or at least save him.
Maybe the Tesla was speeding?
