My mother always goes out of her way to do the exact opposite of whatever we ask when the kid is involved, then gets all surprised Pikachu when we go no-contact for months on end. Shit, last time she dragged the kid all over the city in the middle of COVID and sent the kid back with the flu like it was “no big deal.”

Sure there are a few hyper-vigilant vegans, but there is a huge number of people who would like a plant-based alternative but are okay with the fact that it may have been cooked in the same oil or on the same surface as meat.
