No discussion of Antoine Doinel is complete without the Outlaw Vern's review series "Antoine vs Ninja" where he alternates reviews of the Doinel films with the American Ninja series.

This is why I watched C-SPAN for the DNC: all boring speeches all the boring time.

"Hot Shots!" is probably the last great movie produced in the Zucker-Abrahms-Zucker style. It fits in right next to The Naked Gun and Top Secret!

I remember really enjoying "WALL-E" when it came out but I hadn't watched it since then. I rewatched it recently and was completely blown away; it's kind of a masterpiece. The mixture of adorable robots in love with nasty sci-fi satire is both bizarre and incredibly wonderful.

Words can't describe how happy I am that Sean O'Neal is back writing Newswires.

I stand corrected!

Is it really "The Lost Boys" without that insanely 80s soundtrack and shirtless guy playing the sax?

If you're unbelievably bored and have a lot of free time, google Rob Cassidy, Ghostbusters and the GB fans message board. That should lead you down a wormhole.

Joseph Kahn's "Detention" is a truly unique, lunatic vision that must be seen to be believed. And "Power/Rangers" is a pitch-perfect satire of profoundly misguided reboots of children's properties.

I don't consider Disney TV princesses canon with the Disney Movie princesses.

I'm always happy to see someone defend "Scoop." It's light and charming and almost feels like Woody goofing on "Match Point" and his more crime-obsessed work.

After the show was canceled I remember Parker and Stone mentioning they'd like to do a "That's My Bush!" movie called something like "George W. Bush and the Secret of the Glass Tiger." The Bush Twins were supposed to have been kidnapped by terrorists and Bush had to learn Kung Fu so he could save them.

Man, Pedro and Penelope would be fantastic. Also, Pedro and Carmen Maura.

There's a sequence in "Frances Ha" where Frances escapes the drudgery of her life to visit her hometown in California for Christmas with her family. It's a wordless montage that beautifully captures her excitement at leaving her troubles behind and reconnecting with her family, enjoyment of the holiday and then dread
