cool. needlebase.com is a good one for making your own scraper.

let us know what you come up with! Sipsorcery is actually open source, i think, so you could host your own sipsorcery server. not sure if the complete code is available, but if so, that'd be one solution!

Vote: SipSorcery.com . Amazing flexibility, allowing you to patch together any number of clients and services (and importantly, able to patch a SIP device to a Google Voice outbound call). All for free + a donation. I think signups are closed now, unfortunately.

good find, casse, thanks! the per-IP thing is indeed strange. Not sure how DynDNS would help since that gives you a URL, not an IP. A proxy that uses a consistent IP would do the trick, though. I suppose the other limit worth noting is the 300Mb/file limit. Pretty high, but still worth noting.

note that those pictures of people who "like" lifehacker aren't random - you're likely to see YOUR friends who like lifehacker. That means that, even if you haven't "liked" lifehacker, facebook KNOWS you do! it's a scary world. The filter above works, but there are some other ones you should add too.

except that the background doesn't seem to be stuttering around, as you would expect.

how can the camera possibly be so stable?? i imagine those astronauts getting tossed around like crazy.

Finally, something targeted to the bandwidth-challenged. It is such a horribly marginalized population, and it's absolutely huge.

last i looked, redsnow didn't work for MC models. I jailbroke mine with greenpoison.

i too am interested in the apple tv/xbmc marriage. Two things: first, why the 2g? I'll bet you could get a 1g cheaper and run it just fine. Second, it might not be the cheapest anymore: [www.geeky-gadgets.com] .

hehe, ONE plug in? Give me a break. No ONE plugin will suffice. Here's what you need for security and privacy in FF, IMHO:

I'm having the same issue on an iPod 2nd Gen (MC).

@NeverEden: Sure thing, though I've pretty much just been rolling with what I posted there for quite a while now. I don't use NoScript or TOR - the other things I had been looking into. NoScript breaks absolutely everything for me.

@Chicken: individuals use water (and the question is, how much compared to an industry?), labor and time, and that ain't really "free".

@Adam Howard: yeah, an expanded life-cycle approach would be better. Is there more water and energy expended by the processors of dirty recyclables, or by individuals cleaning out each little ball of goo?

@Weakskills: WTF? I have no interest in convincing you, or anyone, to "go through the effort of going to my blog". I get nothing from it. If you're interested in the subject and want to read more, then go for it. If not, that's fine with me!

@KaemonKei: re: credit, it's not just companies loaning you money who can ding you. Collections companies can do it to you for whatever reason they want - it's then your responsibility to prove your innocence. Cities can employ collections companies to collect parking tickets, registration fees, etc. for example,

@Weakskills: Perhaps I'm misreading sarcasm, but I doubt it. I suggest you return to your miserable little life and keep your negativity for yourself and your loved ones (poor things).

I wouldn't totally trust the "no ad tracking" features in FF, and certainly in IE, for now (and in IE's case, perhaps never). You can use plugins for FF that gets you that protection and more, right now (lord, do I sound like an advertisement?).
