Yeah and they’ve explored them having crushes on each other more than once. Even in flash forward ones she gets drunk and talks about how she should have married Nelson. Its a lot funnier when it is a little joke like that instead of the focus of the episode.

It has multiplayer, but the main campaign is single player. The multiplayer are entirely different modes.

Honestly I think the divide is due to the bar being raised too high by the last wish. Like the mario movie is a fun enjoyable 90 minutes its not amazing but it did everything I wanted it to as a fan of the games. The Holiday Special wasn’t made by sober people. One of the writers said he was heavily into cocaine at the time, and Carrie Fisher was as well.

This is definitely not AAA (assuming we’re talking about budgets). It has a AA budget at most and a significant portion of that likely went to the Hollywood actors.

Also, people regularly conflate “popular” with “good”. Good is relative.

It’s... honestly a pretty good question? From the limited assessments I’ve read most folks see it as a sort of “huh, okay, I guess” kind of acquisition. It doesn’t necessarily seem like a bad idea but it doesn’t seem like a homerun either.
