I like how she frames the fact that she and her friends can’t get their hair and nails done as a problem for themselves, never mind that these types of service providers have no income coming in. Spoken in true Trumpian fashion.

dude, don’t even start with the rusty assed derpshit trolls, it’s not worth your time mate

Are you really this fucking stupid?

So what you are saying is the hoax was democrats sounding the alarm early about the urgency of the situation. Got it. Keep smoking that pole

Remember when he said he could murder someone and still get elected? He’s about to murder tens of thousands - and then prove that he was right about getting re-eelcted anyway.

He admitted to sexually assaulting women. One chamber has impeached him.

Joan Summers is, Jez is not.

will Dax and Kristen waive the rent again? Better yet, will they cede this land over to the tenants and dissolve their property empire? I’m guessing the answers I seek are a hearty, resounding “No!”

I don’t get the blanket outrage for people being landlords. Are they good landlords? Do they take care of the property? Do they offer reasonable rental rates comparable to similar properties? Do they keep rent increases limited? Then what’s the problem with making an investment that provides a decent place to live?

My niece rents from a landlord who is property rich and has a limited income. He has told her he’s sorry she and her husband have both been laid off however the rent is still due.

“it should be easily agreed upon that accumulating rental profit from the wages of people likely making far, far less than you is at best a tad questionable.”

A Marxist analysis of property (or really any economic activity where paying rents is required) seems to be inherently flawed, since Marxism as I understand it doesn’t really think that rent is a moral/viable requirement. If Joan wants to get into dollars and cents when she’s analyzing property ownership through a

Agreed. Most people would not have a place to without rental properties. Slumlords are bad but anybody trying make an honest living renting out home or apartments are not the bad guys.

I’m not sure if Joan is attempting to be an agent provocateur or if she truly believes it’s wrong for anyone to own property and charge rent. Nevertheless, I don’t think we can all agree that accumulating rental profit from the wages of people likely making far, far less than you is at best a tad questionable.

It sounds like Hamilton Nolan is writing under the pen name Joan Summers.

Accumulating rental income from people making far far less is questionable at best? I don’t understand this at all. Should wealthy people not be allowed to charge rent? As long as they are responsive landlords charging locally reasonable rents, how much or how little they have in their personal bank accounts is
