She also could be filming the new season ... she’s chosen not to. She was paid for her work on the show - what’s she’s not owed is any additional sums they may have gotten because of increased viewership. 

She was compensated for her time on the show - she did not make a deal to get any additional sums because of upticks in viewership. Not the same thing.
