I truly don’t know - and the takes are always SO SO bad.  There are plenty of celebrities worthy of critique right now.  Go at em! Chronicle all the ones out without masks, at parties not social distancing - do it.  But this... really? Just enough. 

I knew who wrote this piece by the headline alone - her disdain for celebrities is well-publicized on this site, and yet she is the one who writes the most about them.  Apparently Jez is now a celebrity-hate site.  SUPER COOL! 

It’s Joan’s take - she HATES celebs and yet writes about them.  I can’t compute why she’s on this beat.  It’s beyond tiresome. 

Sapiosexual, but I much prefer pansexual to describe it.  I can be attracted to a person of any gender including trans, gender non-conforming, etc.  Sapio to me sounds too much like loving “smart” people and that’s just dumb. 

Yep yep yep, but frankly I really relish the opportunity to make those comparisons! Imagine being gifted with 2 pieces of media this year about women’s liberation and the badass women who have gotten us where we are.  Bring on more! 

That weariness is so evidence in the abortion rights movement - it’s so difficult and challenging to be fighting for an established right over and over and over and over.

Both Joan and Christine are unfun people who like to spread stupid shit for no reason.  A civil commitment ceremony is not the same as a big wedding. Oof this is all so dumb! 

I think this Britney news is welcome, it’s clear SOMETHING is amiss and having more than one person looking into and responsible for things seems like the right thing to do. Jamie Lynn seems to have Britney’s back, while being a “semi” normal adult considering she was a child actor. 

Yes, but ... you can’t deny that there ARE people out there trying to make homes for kids and taking transracial adoption seriously.  More support is needed, more access to foster parents and adoptive parents of color, but until that happens and odds are evened, you can’t just say DON’T adopt kids of other races. 

The rest of the world is on board with this as evidenced by all the travel restrictions - Canadian here cosigning a wall!

Yep this - I grew up around evangelicals in a super small Indiana town.  No people of color, so I was made fun  of for being 1/2 Canadian and the Catholic kid for being Catholic.  They DO NOT consider Catholic to be Christian, it’s bananas. 

To think that they have convinced themselves that THIS MAN is working towards Jesus’s mission is truly, TRULY, the biggest fucking hypocrisy I can imagine. 

It feels like decent grounds for emancipation when he’s ready, because it’s fucking clear she’s not working in the “best interests of the child”. Fuck her.
