My cousin and I were watching Rhythm and Flow last night, and I kept commenting on how much I disliked TI due to his repeated infidelity, etc. etc.  She wasn’t buying it because of the “progressive” advocacy.  Cut to today when I am 100% vindicated.  Nothing progressive about this man.

His butt on the finale episode didn’t help I’m sure ... he has a mighty fine hind region that clearly has been worked on :)

Yes, there are segment producers who prep you, ask you if you have a question to share, let you know what will be coming up.  Depending on the celeb, they may have “no go” questions or topics, but they are definitely prepped and a part of the planning on content.

It’s just not an ouvre I enjoy reading, but do enjoy watching. We’ll see if my mind changes, but this feels like exactly what adaptations are supposed to do - appeal to those who don’t or won’t read the source material. It should stand alone, and I hope it does!

They won’t be - Apple is creating original content like Netflix or Hulu now, so unless you want to use some type of illegal download/proxy situation, it’s Apple or nothing.

Just what I came here to say - I use FUCK a lot - and so do many of my friends. We are highly educated, intelligent women. It’s not “uncreative” its realistic dialogue. Why should we be writing movies or television that uses lofty or creative language when that’s not the language that would be used? Just because you

Oh you don’t need to explain that to me or apologize for it. What you said resonates a lot. I totally get you. My dad didn’t use drugs when we were kids (he had a big history before that), drinks were his issue, but yes same thing. I don’t know why he thought he could fool me that he wasn’t drunk. I always knew, and

Good catch!

Thank you! I’ve been arguing with folks on this site that you don’t have to have read the comics to get it (at least I hope so, because I’m not going to be reading them).  I appreciate it stands on its own - it should.  A new piece of media that relies too heavily on lor from a written work is doomed to fail.

I’m a cannabis user now so I don’t have the same feeling in regards to THAT drug, but I can tell you that I used to be the least fun person to party with for just this reason and drinking. Drinking to extreme/being drunk to me always means something bad is going to happen - I used to get so easily annoyed and mad with

Yep, every time my dad came home obviously drunk and he’d be asked how many he had “oh just two”.  It’s sad when you know how many drinks your dad has had by  his appearance, but I always knew.

My SUPER shallow take is this, and I prewarned you it was shallow. It’s really really hard for a blonde hair, blue-eyed guy to not be the villain in my brain. There is something about that Aryan look that is quietly menacing. It doesn’t help that a lot of villains in movies are also similar looking, on top of the

I don’t mean to split hairs or anything, but it’s not NBC that did it - my guess is they actively worked to suppress it. NewsGuild and the employees get the credit. NBC so far doesn’t deserve any kudos.

Do you know whether the union is still going to grieve the violations of the contract with the NLRB? I hope so.

Same here - I liked the books well enough that I don’t need revelatory. I’d like an actual reflection of the books ... if it’s closer than the movie I’ll be pleased.

If you find Harry Potter appropriate then this is as well - the larger religious themes are missed on younger kids, and it has the same level of danger to kids as HP. I always think that’s probably what’s scariest for most kids when they watch/read something (seeing themselves) ... so if she can deal in the scarier HP

This is good context I hadn’t realized

As an HR investigator myself, I totally agree, however, when a person admits to the wrongdoing and resigns ahead of time, sometimes its not bullying that does it, sometimes its ass covering and an attempt to leave buried additional stuff that would come to light during the investigation. A good employer would do the

I can agree with that ... much of what Nancy says disappoints me, I just don’t want to get into a place where we aren’t holding women to standards that we want men to be held to, ya know?

Also, the fact that he’s dressed as Brad Stevens is truly hilarious. Brad coached for Butler University, which always does better in basketball than Notre Dame (the pride of South Bend - where Pete is Mayor). So not only is this boring, but it’s also going to make some Notre Dame fans mad, which is the most boring
