Right? A normal person was rightfully traumatized by that scene (hand up here), and learned about depression from it, but Jesse and Judy are a different type all together.

It’s like people don’t understand that she is but ONE person in a corrupt system. She can do what she can do, but if a judge throws out evidence, she can’t follow the ethics of professional responsibility in her profession and bring that case, even if we all freaking know the real deal.

A thousand times this! It’s the foundation of our whole criminal justice system - they pound it into our heads in law school, and yet in reality, it is very clearly the opposite. 

A real social justice scheme would make it so legally there is a rebuttable presumption OF discrimination in any case that a negative consequence happens in the workplace to a pregnant woman. That’s what the case law has created for age discrimination (above 40 employees have a rebuttable presumption of discrimination…

This is a really easy one to cross check - was BJ a producer that year, and if he was, did he have to write an essay? Easy investigation. 

What he does on this show... my god. It gives me goosebumps to see him so fully fall into the FAM life. Talk about immersive acting. Mel is giving me everything, especially considering how different this role is from his recent ones (where he has also been amazing). I am really excited he’s been given the opportunity…

ALL THE AWARDS FOR BETH DITTO! For someone who is fairly “new” to acting, she is bringing a lot of emotional nuance to her scenes.  Very interested to see her in other things. 

I swear if they kill of Kate b/c of fatness this show will have done literally NOTHING for the body positivity movement.  

I think the idea that Deja would be dating this guy at all is meant to reflect how Jack wasn’t “good enough” for Rebecca in her dad’s eyes - and it’s designed to set up a parallel with Randall. My guess is Randall is going to have to reckon with his own privilege and bias again, being a black man raised by white…

There’s a guy trying to bring that tired argument into this conversation ... let’s keep him in the greys. As if the video does anything other than show she didn’t disclose it in this one instance.  People are so invested in this being false, it’s shocking.
