Killing Eve was also not my cup of tea. I don’t think it was a bad show, just not for me. Mostly because I am not a huge fan of shows that have villains that almost seem super-human. Like they can’t be caught and make zero mistakes. I get bored of that after a while.

I mean sometimes kids do HAVE to talk you about stuff, whether they want to or not. I am not saying push them on how their day was. A lot of commenters have given really great alternatives to help kids open up. 

IDK about a psychological benefit but I would assume as a parent you would want a pulse of what is going on in your kid’s world. By showing interest in your kids day it helps foster your relationship with your kids so they know they can come talk to you about things.
