"Gavin Rossdale says the secret to his long marriage with Gwen Stefani is that they never, ever spend any time together. =\"
I think he's right in general that there's a generational shift.
Eh what? What has this got to do with a dude posting parody videos about Disney Princesses? (you mention 'feminist approved fairly tales' but...he doesn't? Or are you taking offence at someone mocking Disney Princesses or the concept of 'happily ever after'? You know Disney's aren't 'traditional' fairy tales, as…
Yeah, the stances of both Lana Del Rey and Frances Bean Cobain have validity (depending on how you see it). Del Rey may be genuinely expressing that she wishes she was dead already (and as you say, may need help) and Cobain is absolutely entitled to object to the idea of her father's suicide being…
"Yet there I was, casually wishing that I could stop existing in the same way you'd want to leave an empty room or mute an unbearably repetitive noise.
Just wanted to post some things on the depression aspect of this topic that I felt were fairly enlightening when I first read them. Anyone who has depression may be able to recognize themselves and relate, and those who don't may get a better understanding.

You don't know her circumstances, nor how she feels. Your own illness/disorder does not give you any authority to comment on hers or imply she should just buck up because people are worse off in the world.
She didn't say "might as well commit suicide", she said she wished she was *already* dead. One is intention of an act. The other passively wanting to not exist.
She sounds depressed.
Although I'm amused about the individual sims having a life of their own and deciding to début a lesbian kiss at an expo, I'm kind of disappointed that the suits sat down and said no, and basically the same-sex relationship function was put in by accident (via an old design document). Great that Wil Wright…
Why? It's a comments thread, you can make your own observations.
Yeeeah...not great phrasing there.
"I just can't be that consistently mean and infantile. They don't seem to have a limit to the depths they'll plumb."
Ehhh..
I suspect she'll be fine. She isn't going to understand the subtext.
