Chromecast only house here as well. I have a ps4 but only use it to game. My 4k TV handles anything I throw at it with the chromecast and the implementation is so simple my grandma can use it. Basic, but effective and cost friendly, my wallet and my streaming habits love it.

How many commenters are regular gamers vs being casual gamers? I own a PS4 and a switch but only boot one up every few weeks. In order to keep my cost down and not drop money on the next console I am watching for their pricing model more than anything else. If this is cost effective then take my money.

I beta tested project stream and it ran flawlessly on my 60mbps down, 5mbps up bandwidth. I think they will be able to accomplish their goals.

Gogle sells an Ethernet adapter for the Chromecast. We use it on our Chromecast Ultra. It is only wireless by default.
