The show has a Wilford problem. Sean Bean is doing fine, but Wilford is too much of a caricature. He has no redeeming qualities at all. The best villains are the heroes of their own story, but when you have decided to call your security force “jackboots” you have pretty much resigned yourself to the fact that you are

I don’t want this show to end.

...then it was a fair trade. “Lodge 49" was great, but I absolutely love every little thing about this show.

I swear, if Lodge 49 had to die so this show could live...

I can’t help thinking there’s a gap between the way Picard is now, and the way he once was

The casting of Charles Dance as the elder Mountbatten was inspired casting. In appearance both are shockingly similar, But I was stunned by the sympathy the show was slathering on Mountbatten as clearly Caroline was. It felt dishonest, and I cannot believe the retribution was merely a scold by the Queen. Maybe that’s

Not to be greedy, but Lodge 49 needs 4 seasons Fire, Water, earth, and Air. Maybe 5 if they can manage it, the quintessence, but that’s optional.

One slight quibble, but they are clearly identified by Kripke and the characters as mid-western, not southern. It’s one of the things I, as a Michigander, always found relatable about them.

The French song was “The Impossible Dream,” (French title: “Le Rêve Impossible”). The song is from Man of La Mancha, the musical based on Don Quixote. So many knight and squire references!

“’Unauthorized’ isn’t just the first episode in the show’s history to not have its title formatted in the form of a computer file or program...”

A whole generous B- for what is, as far as I’m concerned, the best show on TV and certainly the most centered around women’s experience of any show I’ve ever seen. I see parallels to Breaking Bad, another show I loved, and yet can’t help but notice people are far more unforgiving toward June, living in a literal

Agreed one hundred percent. I’ve had moments of frustration with Handmaid this season, and in previous seasons. But overall it’s been a great season and this may be my favorite episode after Night.

“You ever think, Bullock, of ever not going straight at a thing?”

Can I say something being the second oldest dude here? Game of Thrones premiered April 17, 2011. A sane man occupied the White House, the repeal of Don’t Ask Don’t Tell signed, Saddam Hussein dead, Occupy Wall Street, The HARRY POTTER movies ended, and Gabriel Giffords survived a senseless attack. The excitement

The peculiar thing about Gotham is that despite supposedly being a massive Batman origin story, the actual Batman stuff was always the weakest part.

I was truly blown away by Dorff’s entire performance.

No way you big goddamn meanie, Jared killed it this episode!

No discussion of the Castiel Dean beat-down that parallels Swan Song's LuciferSam beating Dean over the Impala, pulling back from killing him at the last moment, and then disappearing into the cage?  My husband will tease me mercilessly for brimming up when Dean says "We're family. We need you. I need you."

Playing Possum
I'm sure there will be a bad-ass, low-angle, roaring emergence later but, for now, it sure hurts to see the Impala mothballed. Hoping for other unveilings, too. Lookin' at YOU, Cas.

I thought the "this isn't X-Files" was a moderately funny meta-joke.
