My take in re June: I’ve often maintained that the one thing the oppressed learn from the oppressors is how to oppress. In June’s world, you either find a way to live with it (although risking becoming Ofmatthew), or you set yourself to fight, and if it’s the latter, you can all too easily end up using the tools of

Watching David Tennant traveling through phone lines, I couldn’t help but superimpose a bit of Doctor Who travelling music.

I get it. And loved it for what it had time to be. Was also relieved too see that E.B. had finally changed his clothes. Used to wonder how, if, when, and where he could get that vest cleaned.

YoYo couldn’t move fast enough to grab that bat? Hmmmm.....

So, no continuing reviews for the season?

As someone raised on The Lone Ranger and who remembers the very first meeting of the Mickey Mouse Club, I agree. :)

I was given to understand (in some forgotten Tweet) that it was HBO that wanted this short last season. So I guess that’s wrong? And it was D&D? Also, I don’t forget that there is still a little bird at large, perhaps pissed that Dany killed Varys?

I’ve always liked the “boring white dude” in this story, and have never seen novel or show as a suitable vehicle to showcase “strong women” or the civil rights of darker skinned people, but overall, for once I like this review simply because it takes the show to task for oversimplifying story arcs for which most of us

Just like it always is. :)

And there I was, hoping for a reunion of Ghost and Nymeria. Those dire wolves that began as such marvelous symbols of the Starks were not done well by.

lent more plausibility.” There are dragons. How much plausibility do you need?

My only disappointment is my hope that somehow the Night King takes his army off to King’s Landing (maybe he hears a horn - the Rohirrim have come at last?) - just to see the horror of realization on Cersei’s face. I hope someone took pictures. It’s one place I can understand your quibble about the significance of

I was crushed to see someone else playing Selina - it just totally ruined any possibility of a good ending for me. And I think the opening scene - Penguin putting on his monocle and top hat - would have made a great ending scene as he and The Riddler march into the future together. I kept wondering, who’s gonna put

I also note that “Stray Observations” recalls that West would have shot one of “them” if it was “him or me,” but doesn’t remember that he also said he was less likely to do so in a crowd of black folks, more likely if it was a crowd of white guys. Not because he’s such a good guy, I surmise, but because he knows which

I live not too far from The House on the Rock, and now have a bit of a compulsion to go there to put a coin in the fortune telling machine. Anyone else?

You too? I thought something was wrong with my service. Cut off in the middle of a sentence? Somebody’s playing around.

Metamorphosis!

Well of course Bonnet survives. What else would be the point of those keys?

I liked the books - although by the time volume 3 came out, I had almost forgotten who everyone was. I can see the problems with the pilot (only one I’ve watched), and I winced when I first heard Amy’s voice over. But by the end of it, I was fairly happy that they had gotten a lot of table-setting out of the way.

A sigh for our times. No, that is not a typo.
