The Ferrari community has accepted cars from that era a long time ago. If you want to wrench on them, there are extensive cross-reference lists from Ferrari to fiat to ford and on and on. I’ve looked at these cars and lists a few times. Totally doable. NP ALL DAY LONG!

My S550 GT with the six speed and only minor upgrades to exhaust has gotten a consistent 16.8MPG for the last 3700 miles in mixed driving (25%/75% city/highway). That may be due to our communist gas in California, but a constant 20MPG would be great.
