IM3 is better than IM2, in my opinion. Neither comes close to the first.
At least with Glee they made an excellent pilot. Glee quickly went into the dumpster after the pilot, but it had that shining moment. Red Bland Society is awful out of the gate. Which is probably better, so I don't get disappointed later . . . like with Glee.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion. I watched the pilot because my wife wanted to give a whirl. And it was awful. Worse than this review made it out to be.

I thought it was extremely lazy, especially late in the season. Almost laughably so at times.
You might have enjoyed it more if you watched week-by-week out of the gate. I understand everything you are saying, and I agree that by the end the show was a total mess. But there was a genuine and unexpected charm that hooked me in the first few episodes. Not sure I would have gotten that so much if I binge…
As the first season closed. Really? I liked the show quite a bit, but thought it completely staggered to a finish.
