Catching segments of this over-and-over during the holidays, I've decided the two most memorable lines are: 1) Be sure . . . to drink . . . your . . . Ovaltine." And 2) Randy lay there like a slug, . . it was his only defense.

The guy in the middle. The one disguised as a tree.
Yeah. That's true. But I don't know that Exclamation was making that broad of a point. I think he was wondering aloud about the Walhbergs and a personality type he sees in them. I'm not sure he's wrong. I did enjoy Marky Mark in Three Kings, for what that is worth.
So, . . when? Never? I don't see the war(s) ending anytime soon, if ever.
The same reason MSNBC axed Phil Donahue once the war in Iraq started. Even firmly on the left, they couldn't be seen as opposing America's war.
What I remember most about The Great American Fourth of July was The Old Man frequently referring to Ralph as Underpants.
Definitely easy. Like everyone else, I'm just expressing my opinion. Nothing more.
Caught Go on Max the other night. That's definitely my favorite kind of a Christmas movie movie. Don't know if I actually have a favorite Christmas movie. I got a lot of enjoyment out of A Christmas Story before saturation set in.
No. But I remember a movie that ran on public television a long, long time ago that was another adaptation of a Jean Shepherd story. It was called The Great American Fourth of July and Other Disasters and it starred Matt Dillon as Ralph and James Broderick as the old man. Haven't seen it in god knows how many…
It's too bad about this movie, because the source material is terrific. The Club Dumas is one of my very favorite books. And it is infinitely superior to this film version. The movie really is only one of two interwoven stories from the book, and this very much part of the problem. I recommend the book to any…
And too often it is called "Emmy."
Yes^^^
I'm surprised by no vote for Gatsby. I heard it was Great.
That's so weird. Every time I get a chubby, I hear mele kalikimaka.
Agree on Alphas. I liked it throughout, but it became pretty great as it matured into its second season. I was very sad when I learned it wasn't renewed for a third.
This helps explain why it got canceled. It was a good show, but few knew to give it a shot. I stumbled across it during its first season without ever having heard of it before.
Season two was better than S1, in my opinion. It became a good show in its first season run. But it really found itself in its second season. The episode in which Luke Wilson's character goes to rehab was one of the best episodes of any show I've seen in a long time.
Breaking Bad was the best show of 2013. By far. I have no issue with Enlightened being anywhere in the top 5, other than #1. It was a great show. But it wasn't Breaking Bad.
That seems unfair.
I'm completely with you on that one. It was a good idea, poorly executed. Honestly, one of the most disappointing viewing experiences for me in the last year.
