That looks like a pretty good choice to me. i commute on a Triumph Sprint ST 1050, which is also classed as a sport tourer, so insurance is very cheap. Only a little more than my wife’s Ninja 250!

If you’re doing a lot of commuting and really piling on the miles, consider getting something with a shaft-drive... It seems chains/sprockets are half the maintenance of a regular bike...
