Well that sucks.

It is shocking that anyone would buy the Mirai. First, stations are not particularly common (and they just closed a ton).

In my 50s. Ridden since I was in my teens.

These things were a maintenance nightmare when new. Hella ND

It’s horrible, but in a good way.

Man seeing people bend over backwards trying to explain why someone in their 80s had a bad debate is hilarious. He’s old. Accept the fact that with age people are not as sharp as they used to be and shit happens. There is no shame with understanding how aging works. People saying it was late or he had a cold or Havana

Wow this take is so bad you got me to log into my Kinja account for the first time in years so your bosses should be quite happy with you.

Well, this will go over well in the comments.

Coulda been worse I guess...

When a limb is pinned and obviously crushed that makes sense., but if it compressing the ribs so they cannot breath, then might as well chance it.

When you have the weight of a pick up truck on top of you, bleeding internally is the least of your problems.

there’s no word if the officers will face any sort of discipline (they almost certainly will not.).”

We just not mentioning you not reading the article before commenting :)

I feel like this particular example is overblown somewhat and ins’t so much a “lag” as it is just the maximum speed the steering mechanism is able to steer. No true, on-the-road, emergency avoidance situation is going to require full, immediate lock-to-lock steering as this video shows. Considering, with a variable

Yes, but 2 of the sections are still cast using the gigacasting method.  So they aren’t giving up on gigacasting, they just aren’t using it for as large a section of the car.  Maybe they should call the even larger sections ‘Teracasting’ so we can distinguish between the 2.

This isn’t the site for you if you want to learn anything about Tesla without an extremely obvious bias. Jalopnik and Teslarati or the two to ignore in my book.

Look, I’m no Tesla fan but they’re not scrapping gigacasting, it’s still used on the front and rear sections.  It even says it right in the article you quoted..

They need reliable cars. You can’t just hawk off some pre-production units with unproven reliability to a company that has government contracts to win and keep. I hate Elon as much as anyone but can Jalopnik just get off his junk for a second? Not everything elon musk related needs to be an article, jfc.

1: Given the weird (undeserved) hype, not sure there were many unsold ones.

I would assume that with the Cybertruck just having launched recently the other trucks have been in the SpaceX fleet for a while. Plus, with the sharp depreciation EVs are taking, it probably doesn’t make sense to decommission and sell them if they are serving their intended purpose.
