I was surprised, but for completely different reasons. Coming into this, I expected that at the end Sam would end up as an angel and get locked into heaven somehow, leaving Dean to mope around and break him out.

I thought it was fairly obvious that in taking Castiel's grace from him, he completed his final "trial", which resulted in the expulsion of the angels that we saw at the end. I don't think that he's going to get it back.
Except they do! I have known a few ladies who are natural blondes, but have dark brown eyebrows. They all were brunettes when they were kids.
Not only is she white and blonde, but Quinn is straight, which probably falls more in line with the Bible Club hijinks.

@Dept_Of_Turkeys Are you talking about the Academy? I used to go there all the time when my boyfriend lived within walking distance. Hell, my best friend and I made the four-hour drive (round trip) just to see Wrath of Khan in 35mm there.

God, Sam Puckett is the main reason why my kid's not allowed to watch that show (around me — I wouldn't be surprised if she watches it at her dad's).

I cringe when everyone comes on screen. Then again, this is one of the few shows I don't let my eleven-year-old watch.

Oh, totally. I can't wait to get the boyfriend (who got me hooked on Castle in the first place) watching again, mostly so we can get to that scene. I'm glad they're completely moving Ryan out of conflicted moping mode and back to the nebbish detective that the actor does so well.

This episode hit all the right buttons. The twist was just twisty enough (I thought it was the police chief all along), and the leads — now officially Caskett in an awkwardly meta moment — still have that "new love" look to them. Lanie was on point and downright gif-able, and separating the team made for a more…

I'd replace the first with, well, anything from Absolution or Origin of Symmetry, but that's just me.

I don't understand why anyone like "Lights" or Caitlin Michelle. At least with Melanie Martinez, you have the package and an undeniable charm that you can shape. Caitlin looks and sounds like a budget Florence Welch, and I can't stand her singing accent (you are not British, girl, just stop) or her other affectations.

I'm genuinely surprised by how strong this episode was. There's just a levity to the show now that's been missing for some time, and I really hope that they can keep this up for quite a bit longer (so, basically, until the two-parter, because those always drag for me).
