I don't neccesarily endorse your comment, but it shouldn't be downvoted. Downvotes are for trolls, idiocy, bigotry, etc. Your opinion is cogent and reasonably written, and we definitely don't want to penalize/discourage such opinions just because they go against the popular consensus.

Leslie going to Washington and not getting that grant definitely seemed like a "small towns are great, this impersonal federal bureaucracy sucks" moment.

I don't think the recall plot was ever given a good reason, but the Twitter scandal being at least a minor thing was totally realistic. Even in federal politics, you have frequent Politico articles about people liking or rewteeting mildly racy things.

This isn't half as creepy as Jessica Chastain appreciation week. (Which for the record, was still a nice tribute and lot of fun.)

It wasn't me, but between disqus and my tiny touchscreen, a slipped finger is a real possibility.

I was curious so I also checked out the wiki. I think she's helped by the fact that her country-ish songs chart on the country charts, while her less country-ish songs chart on Pop or the Hot 100. Thus, 14 out of the 16 songs on her latest album charted in the US. I'm a huge fan of hers, but I was still really shocked

Now you have me picturing Natalie Portman/Padme as a sexy Eva Peron type figure, cozying up to the most talented and charismatic general in her quest for power.

The whole business with the Boston massacre was superb. A great depiction of the noble side of the legal profession, and of the facts overcoming mob hysteria.

Why were you sad about Walt dying? He's a horrible person.

This is only marginally on topic, but it still seems odd to me that Amazon directly pulls content from IMDb into its downloadable video player. Cast information is good to have, but "fun stuff," such as trivia and "goofs," is unadulterated garbage that should not be legitimized in any way.

Dramas only:

I saw Dredd. It's a very entertaining small-scale action film.

It always goes up at midnight central time, along with most of the pre-prepared content.

Dan Quayle's picture on the wall at JJ's diner was a nice touch.

I finished up Spartacus. Definitely a first-rate series. "Epic" is an overused term, but this show warrants it more than any other I've seen. The scale and grandeur of the season 3 battles seems almost impossible on the budget they had. The major characters are all larger-than-life, but still distinct and

Well, I'm sure Patrick from Belfast is familiar with the delightful results of armed extra-governmental groups taking matters into their own hands.

Pauley Perrette was born before the moon landing.

Reportedly, all the dumb implausible parts of the season 1 serial killer plot are from the original Scandinavian series. If they dump that but keep the interesting characters and setting, then this could be even better. "Not a serial killer who avoids capture all season" already has my interest piqued.

ChancellorPuddinghead:
For what it's worth, I finished season 2 pretty recently and was not particularly impressed. I don't care about any of the characters, and the long moral arc of the show, Walt becoming a worse and worse person, is predictable and uninteresting. I'll probably watch Season 3 at some point, but only

I dunno, I kinda feel like if she couldn't win for the The Other Woman, The Suitcase, and Meditations in an Emergency, it's not gonna happen now. So at this point another nomination isn't a realistic shot at a win, and is little reward in and of itself.
