Yeah I wouldn't say I'm boycotting, but the snubs mean I have much less to root for/care about, so why bother watching?

So, who should NOT have recieved an Emmy nomination this cycle? I don't want to bash shows I don't watch, so I'll say Mad Men for best drama, best lead actress, and best supporting actress. It's easily my all time favorite show, but this season was less good than previous ones, and there were more deserving contenders

The AV Club should've had live coverage of the Critics Choice Television Awards this June. It had everything you could want from a TV awards show: Retta, Tatiana Maslany, Patton Oswalt, Aaron Sorkin taking an award on behalf of Jane Fonda and making an awkward Newsroom joke, and the cast of Archer posing with their

It baffles me that after three seasons, people still can't spell Megan's name correctly.

IIRC this was nominated for deletion a couple of times, because it's pretty vague. But it's so old and well-liked that it survived a couple of really intense deletion votes. It's more or less grandfathered in.

Her acting was good, I guess, but nothing spectacular. Although it was nice to see her do another accent (generic "historical drama" English, distinct from Sarah or Rachel in Orphan Black).

So, I wanted to check out more of Tatiana Maslany's work, so I watched BBC's The Nativity (2010). For a historical TV drama made in this century, there was an inexcusable lack of lurid sex, whores, and violence. Plus, all of the main characters were way too understanding and kind. I get that antiheroes are

I thought the grenade thing was really tense. Not because I thought anyone would get blown up, but because I thought Marco would rescue his wife, only for her to be shot in the head or something equally horrible.

Maybe a GPS transponder on her car? Or another source, either electronic or human, within the station. It doesn't require nearly as much implausible effort as a complex plan like staking a girl out in the desert and webcasting it, so I was pretty ok with it.

Yeah, that seemed like a great step towards acknowledging the very different worldviews people had back then. A nice counterbalance to Rodrigo's views on church history from earlier in the season, which seemed a bit too contemporary.

Well if this is based on the "Operation Fast and Furious" scandal, the Feds are trying to wait until the guns reach high-level cartel figures, so they can get them instead of a few small-time gunrunners. As in reality, that's not a great plan and allows the cartels to get a bunch of military-grade weapons.

Well it looks like was CineCraft was right last week when he said the SUV oral sex was only a power play, not sexually motivated. And also that Ray is a goner.

Honestly, that really wasn't clear from the finale. There's nothing keeping Don in New York anymore, so he can follow her to California and start over.

This is a serial medium. There shouldn't be a season and a half of setup.

The Borgias is pretty good so far, seven episodes into Season 1. It's decidedly not in the top tier of TV drama, but that's ok. The personal and romantic melodrama isn't that great, but the international politics of the era is interesting, more so than it was in The Tudors. Henry VIII switching allegiance between

Security guard. If I'm at the front desk, there's a TV, and if it's the middle of the night, I can change it away from CNN for a couple hours.

Yeah, that's pretty horrible. There was one episode where the lesson was essentially, "Yes, it was horrible that this teenage girl was brutally sodomized. But, if you think about it, isn't the real crime the scourge of childhood obesity and diabetes in America?"

Watched the rebroadcast at the lobby TV at my workplace. It's too bad I missed the first few minutes of the episode, it sounds like some good times.

"Cold fish" or not, Beth (or Sarah as Beth) was sexy as hell. The Law & Order professional look, the competence, the wit… it all adds up to a great package.

That's how you know Liechtenstien is actually a sinister dystopia.
