Every 7th lap (actually ever7 6.95 laps, though I rounded up) per my calculation above, which is falls outside of a reasonable “margin of error.” ;-)

Neither Hamilton nor any other F1 driver would come remotely close to eliminating the 14 plus second gap. Maybe 1 second tops, and I say that as a long term F1 who has no use for IndyCar.
