I just discovered Comedy Central has Reno 911 on their app. Commercials & a zoom aspect ratio on the early 4:3 episodes, but it’s just such a hilarious show that I haven’t seen since it left Hulu, so I’m dealing with the hardships...

Good thing she’s working from home, not a hospital...
Everyone just loves a headline of “HOA being shitty to nurse!” and doesn’t bother to read further to catch that (A) She’s working from home, not going into a hospital, and (B) The HOA will allow the RV once she’s going in.
Did you see the part where she’s working from home?
Except they do.
I don’t care about the RV, I care about people using any excuse to not follow the rules.
Fair enough, I didn’t mean to create a philosophical paradox.
To be fair, it’s probably more about noisy generators & sewage disposal than unsightliness.
but when you own a piece of property how American is it that some asshole can dictate everything you do
It also doesn’t specify anything about a hurricane, tornado, war or any other emergency either.
HOAs can make a difference. I currently live in a condo complex that is much, much quieter than the rural area I moved here from.
Vigilantes? You act like they’re dragging you out of your house at night and forcing you to mow your yard.
Mine are 6 pages long, and my last neighborhood was less than 10 pages as well. Please link to this 400 page HOA rules.
What? Even if 50% of the neighborhoods are HOA (they’re not) that still leaves you 1000's of homes not in HOAs to choose from.
Sorry, I meant that the threat the HOA spoke of in the letter wasn’t real. I don’t doubt for a minute some idiot actually sent that to their neighbors.
That’s the free market.
I’m not paying them to tell me what I can & can’t do. I read the rules before I moved in, and I’m fine with them.
No, this is not real. An HOA can’t “foreclose” or evict anyone from a home. They can fine, and after fines go unpaid file for a lien. But we’re talking years of proceedings. This is just a batshit crazy HOA president who doesn’t remotely understand the law.
Ugh. This again.
How nice was it was it to watch the cruise lines get shut out because of all their off-shoring games?
