You drive out of state once a month? Even if that is true, you are way outside the median there. I drive over 200 miles maybe twice a year, usually once, and I think I’m pretty typical.

I’m thinking your friend was a bit of a braggart. I do criminal defense, and the average DUI fine is about $500, yes, but your court costs will be about $2k on top of that (paid along with your fines), plus I don’t know of a probation program in the US that isn’t at least $40/month, usually more like $100-200. And…
Some look worse than others, and I can see where the urge to add an unnecessary apostrophe comes from.
It weird it varies so much. I just moved states, and at my old house, I’d say USPS was responsible for 50% of Amazon deliveries, usually in a van (not a typical LLV) that does nothing but packages & not the main mail route, the rest was FedEx/UPS.
This why I’ve never tipped a mail carrier, it’s lots of different people throughout the week even.
Do you split tips or is it winner take all that day? Part of the reason I’ve never tipped a mail carrier is that I don’t have “a” mailman like Mayberry, there’s at least half a dozen different people throughout the week.

This. In my 20's I gave up on finding new music, just set Pandora to bands I liked. I had just decided “I guess I’m an old man now, and we don’t like new things”, but since I’ve been checking Spotify’s Discover Weekly playlist that’s curated for me, I find 100s of new songs I love every year, from bands I never would…
No one outside of car nerds & Audi salesmen knows the E-tron exists, it’s more expensive than a Tesla without the supercharger network, and it doesn’t necessarily look like an electric car.
My biggest complaint are their interiors. When you can get out of a Levante or Ghibli and get into a new Hyundai and go “Wow, this is much nicer”, there’s a big problem.
This is what their show should be.
Ever driven a Maxima? It’s a hell of a lot of fun., plenty of soul.
I was a groomsman in a wedding, and just before the bride walked down the aisle, while lined up at the altar, my (poorly tailored...) tuxedo pants fell down in front of 100+ people.
99% of speed limits are set by local lawmakers, not engineers or safety experts of any type.
then what can it hurt to attend the party
