I like this logic. It’s so pleasingly circular.

This is the downside of the epidural—if you can’t feel anything, it’s very likely you will push in the wrong direction, instead of moving out of the way of the pain. Don’t get an epidural, it’s not worth it.

i should be clearer that the style is entirely satirical (she talks about triggering and how she’s talked to a bunch of experts and upset she can’t get anyone to agree with her?) and the point is entirely FAUX-serious. this piece rules and it’s a joke but not as much of a joke as people getting upset about a joke
