100LL is gasoline. Jet fuel is basically kerosene, so, maybe kinda sorta usable in some diesels, but definitely not gas engines.

David, you need to find an electric motor shop to fix/rewind that generator. It’s actually not a terribly difficult job for them, and turnaround can be as fast as a day or two. It’s typically not cost effective for small stuff like that, but in some cases (like yours) it’s all you can do.

Then it sounds like you need to do a radiator cap replacement. Take the radiator cap off the CJ, put it on a different vehicle, then drive that vehicle and call it good.
