Well, that is never going to happen, so forget it. That’s an extremely naive and unrealistic view. Islam does not permit that kind of talk, period.

By the police? Maybe. By the teachers? No way. If someone brings a device that could pass for a bomb to class they have a responsibility to investigate it. There’s a lot of anti Muslim bigotry in America right now. But there’s also liberal witch-hunts for Islamophobes. This is the latter.
A woman who has someone set up her own email server to control what correspondences would be made available after her time at State (I don’t consider for a minute that the server represents a security hole in the way everyone else has attacked her for it; it’s indicative of her terrible character and her thoughts…
You know what? I kind of agree with you. I just don’t know how they would accomplish it in reality. They’d have to cut contact with all other relatives, and that would be so hard. Part of me wishes they’d let her be adopted by some nice people who utterly hide her history from her forever. Because she doesn’t deserve…
Like the Middle East?
I really really wish it were possible though. She doesn’t deserve to inherit this pain. But Regal makes an excellent point I didn’t think of: investigative reporters someday bringing it right to her doorstep, maybe even with a camera in her face. What a mess. Thanks again, religious extremism!
I agree. Although I’m not sure it could remain secret forever because internets. I can’t imagine the betrayal she would feel if she discovered the truth as an adult. She’d probably understand the reasons but it’s just such a heavy thing. It’s not like it’s a ‘your mom was an addict and we didn’t want you to know’…
I hope she raises her to be a critical thinker who has the right to say, “I love Islam,” or “Fuck Islam,” in the same sentence without being judged.
It’s a bit different in this case. A lot of the rapes took place on sets where the story line involved some form of not-completely-consensual sex. So, people filming, doing lighting, etc, may not even have noticed when the line was crossed.
Because a lot of the porn was slapping, spitting, anal, double vaginal, double vaginal plus anal, bondage, etc. The line probably got pretty blurry to the point that nobody realized it was being crossed.
“Your parents hated other people more than they loved you. Now go play!” So fucked up.
I hope this isn’t the case, but I wonder if there were initial concerns for the safety of the child - not from her relatives, but from others who are angry about what her parents did.
And you thought telling a child they're adopted was hard...
