Maybe Zola was behind the creation of ARPA and when he found out he was going to die he had them start working on the ARPANET to eventually hold his consciousness. When he realized he would die before it was developed enough to hold him he had the tape drive supercomputer built to be compatible with the future

On the plus side, now we can get that Action Jackson reboot. ;)

Most of my gripes (“What’s a singularity?”) or yee-haws (“So long and thanks for all the fish.”) have been covered so the only thing substantial I can add is that I really was hoping that Cisco would make a Back to the Future 2 reference when explaining how there would be multiple versions of Barry in the past. I felt

I’m getting caught up on Flash and the recaps. When Joe offered Grodd the banana I want Grodd to go off on Joe.

I’m on my phone and can’t easily search if anyone else posted this already, but since you are including TV shows in the list I really enjoyed The Wrong Mans as a funny deconstruction of action movies (assuming i’m understanding the concept correctly).

I’m slowly getting caught up. My favorite Cisco moments were “is this Inception or Dreamscape?” ( I _love_ the movie Dreamscape) and him referencing the heart scene in Temple of Doom when describing how Wells murdered him. I loved the pop culture references in Buffy and I love them in The Flash. :)

Sorry. I’m a few weeks behind on my Flash viewing (and io9 reading).

And if you have a hard time waiting, it looks like whole episodes of Greg the Bunny are on YouTube to watch. :) Still one of my favorite shows in recent history.

I would say “giving it a roman helmet” more than tea bagging but I know what you mean. :)

I’m a season behind on Agents of SHIELD and would like to read some of the recaps from the Winter Soldier change-up, but not all episode recaps seem to be tagged with the AGENTS OF SHIELD RECAP tag (like this one isn’t). Most seem to be tagged with just the AGENTS OF SHIELD tag but that also bring up a whole mess of

I’m probably coming to this too late, but I always wanted to see the Asimov Robot novels adapted.

I just re-watched Spaceballs for the upteenth time last week. When the Mega Maid head and arm crash on the beach and they do the Planet of the Apes bit, it kills me every time.

Back when I was in high school (when the movie came out) a friend’s dad gave me a box with books 1-30 of the Destroyer series. And some Executioners, too. I’ve always meant to work my way through and read them all. Maybe some day. I still have the box. :)

Damn. You beat me to it. :)

Speaking of... does anyone know what ever happened with that alternate Blu-Ray of X-Men: Days of Future Past with the Rogue scenes that was supposed to come out this year? Is it still happening? Was it just a rumor?

This is coming out this year? In November? Awesome! This review makes it sound pretty sweet. Now I have to decide if I want to read the book before then or not. I’ve been wanting to read it, but haven’t had any time. Now with the movie so close at hand, I’m not sure if I want to read it first or see it first.

It’s a term that used to have a much more specific meaning but now has a more general meaning. Kind of like aspirin or kleenex. It means, “not worth hauling my ass to the theater.”

I liked Salvation, too. I just thought the concept of a Terminator with a human heart was kind of ridiculous. But Bale and the world was pretty slick.

Huh. Well the _first_ trailer had me intrigued. It looked pretty cool. But this description has me back in the negative camp. :(

I just hope that there is a scene where the voice modulator malfunctions and he starts talking like a chipmunk until he bangs on his armor a few times. “I’m Bat...I’m Ba...grrrrrr...<bang, bang>...I’M BATMAN.” ;)
