I love Kurt Busiek's Astro City.

Is it wrong that I'm eating a Reese's Peanut-butter Cup while reading this?

I'm bummed about Community being canceled, but 97 episodes ain't too shabby.

Now playing

I went into Wanted knowing nothing about it. I didn't have any baggage from reading the comic. I didn't read any reviews. I got to the theater too late for the movie I wanted to see, and this was the next action movie starting. I guess I wasn't expecting anything, so I'm not sure if this qualifies. But I was hooked

For having Dan Harmon back, I thought season 5 was kinda hit and miss, too. I think if they only lost Chevy Chase this season it might have been ok, but losing Donald Glover, too, was too much. It definitely wasn't the same without him. I would have liked another season (and a movie) but I'm not gnashing my teeth

I have a hard time seeing that picture of Avengers Quicksilver without making this connection in my head. :/

Ok, good to know I wasn't imagining it. :) I only ever read the original trilogy, though.

Threepio will be pissing and moaning until the end of time.

It has been probably 30+ years since I read the original Shannara trilogy. I seem to recall back when I was reading Sword of Shannara that the book hinted but never said that it was taking place on Earth after some unspecified apocalypse, and magic had returned and creatures like trolls were mutated somethings that

I agree that I don't think it's used entirely correctly in the movie. I think it's supposed to point out an obvious hypothetical that isn't true so it doesn't matter. I think a more appropriate use of the phrase would be something like...

I always figured it was a cleaner version of my dad 's favorite saying, "Yeah, and if my uncle had tits he'd be my aunt." :)

*shrug* Your mileage may vary, but I can see it working the way he described it. Especially, if the character gave a little eyeroll and kind of indifferently walks away.

Nothing can be worse than the ridiculous hockey sequence with Batman and Robin deploying their convenient boot skates to skate around the iced over museum. Terrible.

My favorite part of this review was...

I enjoyed Chaos Bleeds. I just didn't like the actress doing Buffy's voice. My PS2 got wet in a basement flood a few years back. I wish I could get it working again. I have so many PS2 games I'd love to play again. Chaos Bleeds, Evil Dead: Fistful of Boomstick, Tony Hawk THUG. :(

It could still be worse. ;)

I always liked Martha, I just hated that she was saddled with that stupid unrequited love for the Doctor BS. So stupid. In the end, Donna is still my favorite new Who companion so far. Which is amazing since I didn't like her in Runaway Bride at all. I still don't like how they undid all her character growth in the

Season 1 had potential, but even it wasn't great. The second episode was the one with the girl screwing people to death. And the fourth episode was the terrible Cyberwoman episode. In the end I preferred watching Sarah Jane Adventures to Torchwood.

I still say if JJ Abrams had wanted to retell the Kahn story he should have not danced around it and just cast Faran Tahir as Kahn. I don't even care that he already played George Kirk's captain in the previous film. I think he would have been an awesome Kahn.
