I wouldn't consider wearing glasses or even having those fancy bow-style prosthetic legs being enough to make you a cyborg. I hold to the "cybernetic organism" definition and glasses and other things are too low tech. Now cochlear implants and prosthetic limbs that interface with your nervous system? Ok, that I'll

I remember re-watching Johnny Mnemonic about 5 years ago and in the scene where he says "I can store 80 gigs of data in my head" I remember laughing and saying "Big deal. I have a 160 gb iPod in my pocket. :)

You know when they try building this clock they're going to get a surprise visitor...

Serve the public trust, protect the innocent, uphold the bra.

My wife had one of those as a little girl. She loved it.

I was only marginally interested in this article. I'm so glad I read to the end and saw your comment and kaiser-machead's comment and photo. Totally made it time well spent. :)

Did you see Victory of the Daleks? Those weren't the brand of cigars Churchill actually smoked!

The fact that they went through the trouble of halting sales and downloads so they could make this change is just ridiculous. And further proof that the batshit insane have too much influence in this country.

I'm not going to see this to get a history lesson. It just looks fun. Having said that, there's no reason why it can't be fantasy or science fiction and still be somewhat historically accurate. I've never enjoyed reading history, but I loved reading Guns of the South. And, setting aside the time traveling white

I've always wanted to read the book Project Orion, but never got around to it.

Drat! You corrected the "your" to "you're" before I could post a snarky comment. :)

I think what Jenn2D2 meant by "series reboot" was "rebooting" the new show itself, i.e. changing it from the ship based show to a planet based show for the occupation. And there not being enough explanation as to why characters changed as much as they did over that year of time that was skipped over. Not BSG as a

I hated that DS9 was shown on WGN here in Chicago. It was constantly getting preempted by sports or moved to a new time. It made it impossible to watch. You couldn't even record it because you'd rewind your tape and have 30 minutes of some sports game that went long. It drove me crazy.

I remembered Descent being weaker than the others, but I always loved when Lore came back. And I remember it being cool that they brought Hugh back, too. I honestly can't remember much about Gambit, but I remember always being excited when TNG or DS9 did epic 2-parters. :)

I agree that Best of Both Worlds is the Gold Standard, but I'd go on record and say that from BoBW on Trek: TNG did great cliffhangers and payoffs. Redemption parts 1 and 2 where we meet the love child of Yesterday's Enterprise's alternate universe Tasha Yar and a Romulan. Time's Arrow 1 and 2 with Data, Picard, and

That's what I had heard growing up, but when I went to find that video the few I saw had someone else credited with playing Spiderman so I thought maybe I had been told wrong. Glad to hear it's true that Morgan once donned the red and blue jammies. :)

Is it true that Terry Nation screwed over Raymond Cusick who actually designed the look of the Daleks? That's what I heard/read (can't remember where) and it always really irritated me.

Does no one remember the robotic uprising of the mid-90s?
