Speaking of horses... 240hp vs 325hp. The EcoDiesel might be good on fuel, but it takes almost 9 seconds to get to 60... I'm willing to bet the 2.7tt F150 is a good bit quicker.

I don't think the EcoDiesel is more powerful than the 2.7tt, but I'm sure it's more efficient.

LOL, peak torque at 2k rpm doesn't mean you don't have torque after that. It means you have a plateau of torque from 2k to redline, passing on the highway won't even require a downshift most likely.

"Why would you compare the gas mileage of a small pickup to that of a full size?"

It lets you specify your engine when you create your profile, the majority of Mazda 3 owners (on Fuelly) suck at life.

When car shopping, I prefer www.fuelly.com to the EPA for an idea of fuel economy. It seems manufacturers have figured out how to tweak their tuning to get numbers that are hard/impossible to duplicate in the real world. Obviously this doesn't work with all-new models with new engine/transmission combos.

I'm guessing the two turbos are very small, to minimize lag. So even with a lot of boost (PSI) they're not moving as much air as a bigger snail would at lower pressure.

heh heh heh...

I'm curious what the fuel economy is going to be like, because my coworkers with the 3.5EB average 17 vs 19+ in my Frontier. A lot of people DD trucks and don't often push them capacity-wise, the 2.7EB would be a good option. My 4.0 Frontier can tow 3+ tons, and carry 3/4 of a ton in the bed... I'm usually hauling

Neither of those had a V8, just I5 and V6. My point was only that a V8 can be FWD and longitudinal... not that it would make sense in the Focus.

My '85 Toronado was FWD with a longitudinal V8...

Why is a hearse creepy? Does she keep a corpse in the back? I flew (space available) from Germany to the US with a bunch of Fallen Soldiers... our seats were a couple feet from where the caskets were strapped down to the cargo area. The crew made a big deal, about the fact that they'd be on the plane with us,

I doubt most people that seek shelter in a dumpster do it because they think it's safe. I think they do it because they're suffering from severe mental health problems...

At a landfill, or the hospital?

I'm in IT, I just closed a site in Charleston, otherwise I'd be set to visit.

In the Silverado, they get around 24mpg with the 4.3... that's not far off the 3.6 Coloranyon.

Why would they offer the 3.6 and the 4.3? Unless maybe they made a max-tow/off-road version in the future.

Correct, I don't see it very often though. Are you a North Augustan? I've only been pulled over by the Crown Vic's and Chargers... no tickets yet!

Except there's a video of the Corvette driver getting (awkwardly) into his car with the Jeep there.
