We got a free maintenance package for my wife's Altima, we just drop it off in the evening before the appointment. She's a stay-at-home mom, so we can pick it up after I get off work, I'd be pissed if I had to wait around for 4-5 hours for an oil change I could do in 30 minutes.

Probably because the Tundra rocks 4.30 gears stock... you don't need to tell me though, I drive a Frontier. Difference for me was that my Frontier 4.0 averages 19mpg in mixed driving, and cost $10k less than a comparable full size.

I just "built" a 2014 RAM SLT 4x4 quad-cab with the 5.7 Hemi and 8-speed auto... $37,230.

Valid point is valid.

You make a compelling argument.

I went on the Chevrolet site and compared a Colorado LT crew cab SWB to a Frontier SV crew cab SWB. The 2.5 I4 Colorado is $2k more... than the 4.0 V6 Frontier.

But they would want to compare V6 to V6, the Colorado 4-banger will probably get better than 26hwy.

If it's a one-mile stretch of a 25mph speed limit, bordered by 35mph speed limits, it would add seconds to your drive to slow down. That's why I don't mind school zones, the impact of having to slow down temporarily is very small compared to the time/expense wasted if you get pulled over.

Personally, a 5' bed (with a flip-out extender) is all I need, I needed the crew cab for my kids more than I needed a longer bed. I think it's more ridiculous for someone to drive a truck with an 8' bed when you don't need the extra capacity.

Wait... what?

I think the V6 Tacoma is only rated for 21mpg highway.

I bought a Frontier specifically because I could get a well equipped V6 crew cab for well under $30k. If I had wanted to spend over $30k on a truck I would have bought this...

I go through vehicles so quick, my oldest kid was born in '08 and was driven home in my '04 Tribute (bought in '06). I sold it in '09, my youngest was born in '11 and came home in my '04 Explorer V8... that I sold the next year. Between the Tribute and the Explorer there were two other cars, and since the Explorer

People are only allowed to drive pickups if they regularly haul lumber? They should have warned me at the dealership!

Totally with you on this, that's why I didn't buy a Tacoma, if I wanted to spend $30k+ on a truck I'd get a full-size.

I had a '10 Odyssey and I'm pretty sure it was rated at 22mpg highway, we averaged 16.

If I lived in a place with winter, the Ridgeline may have won just by virtue of being the only mid-sized truck with AWD.
