I care. So you’re wrong.
It is! That’s the electronic solenoids which actually shift between the gears. Chrysler was one of the first manufacturers to do away with valve bodies and switch to electronic valves instead. Their early solenoids, in particular, make very noticeable and distinctive noises.
The clicking noise heard on Chryslers is the solenoid pack cycling. Normal operation.
Couldn’t disagree with you more.
incorrect, massive improvement. Looks like it could take the hoonicorn for pinks.
Can you hear that? It’s the sound of everyone who payed too much for a 911 R crying.
I know it’s not a hipster favorite, but I was lucky enough to have recently acquired the car that was on my bedroom wall as a kid. Ear to ear baby.
True story.
You have the correct answer. The Buick LeSabres with the 3800 are abundant in the sub-$2000 range. It’s comfortable, good on gas, durable, and much more roomy than the ever popular Crown Vic. Is it as fun? No. But it’s absolutely the better car. (ebay Link) No one needs to settle for a Corolla.
Can confirm that these are ready and on the road. Challenger/Charger/300 plant is on my way to work and they test drive through the area every day. So I usually see at least 10ish cars on my way into work.
Pass go, collect 20 grand.
This is an absolute constant on all forums and blogs.

Push rod V8's? Gross, Americans are so old fashion
As long as the clutch/flywheel combo isn’t a fickle bitch, it is arguably easier to learn on a torquey car since you don’t have to give any throttle to start rolling.
Mannequin challenges are getting old. I for one, am tired of hearing about them.
It would not be just the “rednecks” (as you call them) who would miss a V8. Car lovers everywhere would miss that sound/torque/power you can only get from a V8 engine.
Turbo 4 Cylinders are good for fuel economy and decent HP for it’s size, but a factory 4 isn’t going to give you that sound or HP/TQ that a V8 can.
NO on that. Musclecars are the last bastion of naturally aspirated power, and I will fight tooth and nail anybody who tries to make them forced-induction-only. This is a WAY bigger deal than the death of manual transmissions.
