now require all Police cars to be painted with this
You can swap an LS into anything :p
5.) Renault Avantime
How do you figure it to be less car than the M3/4? The car is rated at 30 more horsepower, has similar amenities, is similar in size, will probably have higher performance stats. If you're going to criticize the vehicle, at least give some points for your argument. As is it just sounds like typical anti-american…
Not a Miata? Don't post this on Jalopnik mainpage.
LS swap anyone?
Am I the only one here that wants to buy one and replace all Chevy badging with the appropriate Holden signage?
That's a '70 Superbird, the car that broke 200mph was the '69 Daytona. They were NOT the same car. Very similar, but very different. It all came down to drag. The Daytona had a better drag coefficient than most modern cars. Here are the numbers. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Automobil…
That's the street version, couldn't come close to 200mph, but the NASCAR prepped versions with the more potent HEMI mills did go over 200 numerous times, I think the NASCAR engines made about 600hp.
I saw an interview with one of the engineers in the Hemi shop back then and he said they didn't put out a single engine that was under 500 BHP. The 425 rating was purely for insurance purposes.
Let's remember that the Z/28's lap was done in partially wet conditions. I'm not saying 5 seconds worth, but over that distance it's possible. I'd love to see both cars taken on the same day by the same driver for some real car to car comparisons to be made.
Finally, a red mercury engine. Hopefully it won´t be used as a bomb. ;)
I have an idea to improve your idea.
If we did would you buy one?
So did they lease GM's tech like Ferrari did?
That's me in my white one up on top. Love this car!
